New Zealanders across the country celebrated yesterday as a group of rich men in boats successfully sailed around a series of obstacles to earn the right to sail around obstacles with another, more prestigious group of rich men.
The prevailing group of rich men now have less than two weeks to prepare for the arrival of the Saiyans.
While many are excited, others are worried that the victorious rich men, who are mostly from New Zealand, will not have what it takes to defeat the more prestigious group of rich men, who are mostly from America.
But the team of mostly New Zealanders has assured its supporters that it will be uniquely prepared for the upcoming competition, having designed a new model of watercraft that powers itself not with wind, but with a self-contained propellant device.
Mostly-New Zealanders skipper Dean Barker said the key to winning the America’s Cup was “going fast,” though noted that it was likely that “both teams will be going fast,” in which case, it was important to “go faster.”
“One of the things we find allows us to go faster is a motor,” he said.
All rich men involved have confirmed that, regardless of the outcome, they will be seeking the help of their lawyers in taking the other rich men to court for not playing the game properly.
New Zealanders are reportedly pleased that the rich men have spent all their money on sailing boats and not on something more useful.
