Camera odds-on favourite to win The Bachelor after spending most time with Jordan

Four weeks into the second season of TV3’s popular and highly inexpensive harem simulator, The Bachelor, a clear favourite is emerging in the contest to win a monogamous relationship with genetically modified love android Jordan Mauger.

That favourite is the show’s primary camera, which, according to the crew behind the scenes, has spent more time with Jordan than all of the other contestants combined.

“Very rarely, even off air, does Jordan see any of the girls without the camera present,” shared recently-booted contestant Lara Christie, who is lamenting now having to seek a normal, healthy relationship with a real human being. “I won’t lie, I was surprised not to receive a rose. I’d hoped to get more time with him, but even the few hours I did get, the camera was always there.”

Nicole Hunwick, who also left the show last night on her own accord, seemed to echo these sentiments.

“I just didn’t think it was fair,” she told Edge Breakfast Hosts Jay-Jay and The Other Two. “The camera, I mean, I don’t mean to sound… I mean, it’s not even a woman.”

Hunwick said Jordan would often neglect the female contestants, and instead spend “literally hours” having intense, one-on-one conversations with the camera, who she felt was acting “highly protective,” and “constantly watching me and the other girls.”

Betting markets seem to agree with the assessments of former contestants, with punters and bookies alike signalling the camera to be the hot favourite to win this year’s inevitably short-lived romance.

Bookies peg the second most likely winner as host Mike Puru, who is “clearly hovering in an attempt to be the only remaining option.”
