A new election advent calendar is selling out across the United States today, as it provides children with an innovative and fun way to count down to the November 8th Presidential Election.
In an attempt to educate children about the campaign, the advent calendar will reveal one new sexual assault or groping allegation against Republican candidate Donald Trump every day.
“It functions basically like your normal advent calendar,” said Joseph Swan, the creator. “It starts 25 days before election day, so we’re already a few days into it. You’ve got 25 little doors, and behind each door, is the face of a woman who was groped or otherwise sexually assaulted by Donald Trump.”
Swan demonstrated one of the doors, opening it to reveal a picture of former Apprentice contestant Summer Zarvos.
“Tucked in here is a little note with her gut-wrenching, painful story of sexually predatory behaviour by a man we’ve deemed fit to run for president,” he said. “Kids will love it.”
Swan said some of the doors would contain “multiple women,” as it was “pretty much impossible” to fit all the allegations separately on one calendar.
“There sure are a lot to choose from, and quite frankly, I don’t think we’ve covered them all,” he said. “There are plenty in there that haven’t even been reported yet.”
Swan is urging journalists not to “get greedy” and “open them all at once” looking for scoops.
“They’ll come out at the right time,” he promised.
Sources close to Republican Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence say he has resolved to drop out of the race this evening, after purchasing his own copy of the calendar, and opening all the squares.
